A video has caused outrage in India as it shows a young girl walking around seeking help after allegedly being raped. The CCTV footage shows a man waving the girl away when she approaches him, sparking anger among viewers. However, the police have revealed that the girl was eventually helped by some people after walking for over two hours in Ujjain city. A senior police official confirmed that a medical examination showed that the girl had indeed been raped. Five individuals who came into contact with the girl are currently being questioned by the police. The girl, who appeared to be bleeding, was captured on the CCTV footage walking on a road and approaching a man who dismisses her before she continues on her way. The police are reviewing additional CCTV footage to trace the girl's route. She had been reported missing from Satna city, which is over 700km (435 miles) away from where she was found. A Hindu priest named Rahul Sharma was among the people who helped the girl. Upon finding her, he noticed that she was bleeding and unable to speak or write. He provided her with clothes and immediately called the police, who then took her to the hospital. The girl's injuries have since been treated, and she has undergone surgery. The incident has caused widespread condemnation, with opposition leaders criticizing the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government over women's safety. Activists are now working to locate and support the girl's family.
