Reports indicate that there have been Russian aerial attacks targeted at Kyiv.

The mayor of Ukraine's capital Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko, has announced that the air defense system in the city is actively defending against a missile attack from Russia. Klitschko urged residents to find shelter and stay safe. Witnesses in the area reported hearing explosions, and Ukraine's air force had alerted the public about cruise missiles heading towards the capital. The attack was not limited to Kyiv, as air strikes were also reported in the Kharkiv and Cherkasy regions, along with explosions in Mykolaiv. The entire country was placed on air alert at 06:00 local time. Furthermore, Russian cruise missiles were detected maneuvering above Lviv, Ternopil, and Ivano-Frankivsk in western Ukraine. Since Russia's invasion on February 24th, 2022, Ukraine has been subjected to repeated air attacks, with Russia annexing parts of the east and south of the country.
