According to French media reports, a plane carrying 303 Indian passengers has been grounded at a small airport in north-eastern France. The Airbus A340 was traveling from the United Arab Emirates to Nicaragua when it made a technical stopover at Vatry airport. The plane was immobilized after authorities received an anonymous tip-off which suspected human trafficking. The airport has been sealed off by the police, with several individuals being detained for questioning. Local officials have initiated an investigation into the purpose and circumstances of the trip, revealing that some of the passengers were believed to be illegal migrants. Initially, the passengers were allowed to stay on the aircraft, but later the airport's arrival lounge was converted into a waiting area with beds. The plane is reportedly owned by Legend Airlines, a Romanian charter company.
