Donald Trump has been unsuccessful in his attempt to file a lawsuit against Christopher Steele, the former MI6 officer who authored a dossier connecting Trump to Russia. Trump had sought to use data protection laws to sue Orbis Business Intelligence Ltd, Steele's company. Steele compiled a dossier in 2016 that included allegations about Trump, which were leaked to the media just before he took office as president. Trump claimed that the dossier contained inaccurate allegations and violated his data protection rights. However, the court ruled that Trump's claim was not filed within the six-year limitation period, without making any judgment on the allegations themselves. Christopher Steele is expected to release a statement later today.
